Custom Made Fairy Tale began, as I think most wedding dreams do, in the search for the perfect dress.

Drop in here, set appointment there, bridal magazine after bridal magazine. And oh, the dresses I found. I fell in love numerous times on my quest. Unfortunately, my pocketbook and my heart had different ideas of true love. And the dresses I could afford, well, some of them were alright. But who wants ‘alright’ on their wedding day?

So, I took a different path… the one that led me into the fabric store. It’s amazing the visions that come into designers’ minds when they see those gorgeous textiles. Dress after dress that I tried on in the boutiques, after all of the oohs and ahhs, those price tags were just too much for me. And then there was the factor that perhaps thousands of other women out there were wearing the same exact dress. And sure, that’s alright. It doesn’t matter, as long it’s the dress. But what I saw in those colors and textures was my dress, and mine alone.

And so it began.
